In 1994 PMS began a comprehensive roof maintenance program at the Crocker complex with five buildings and over 75000 square feet of roofing. The plan was to perform necessary maintenance with an eye toward preventive maintenance instead of traditional reactionary repairs (crisis maintenance). The plan was hugely successful. Four years after the project began, maintenance costs were reduced cut by two thirds and the roofs are expected to last an additional seven years.
